Application Terms and Conditions

  1. The Sheffield Business awards are open to any business based in Sheffield and all members of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, and are free to enter.
  2. All applications must be submitted using the official online entry forms via sheffieldbusinessawards.awardstage.com. No word documents, pdfs, faxed, posted, or emailed forms will be accepted.
  3. Entries must be in English.
  4. Applicants must be authorised to enter their organisation into the awards programme.
  5. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide the relevant information for their entry, which will become the property of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and will not be returned. Text and information from the application may be used on the night or in correspondence about the event, and Sheffield Chamber reserve the right to use such information.
  6. By submitting an application, your details will be passed onto judges and partners involved with the awards.
  7. By entering the competition the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material as Sheffield Chamber of Commerce may require.
  8. Incomplete entries will not be judged.
  9. Entry to more than one category is permitted.
  10. The organisers reserve the right to audit any or all information supplied by an entrant and each entrant agrees to assist the organisers and/ or judges in any such audit in every way possible.
  11. For any applicant knowingly providing false information on their application, the organisers reserve the right to withdraw any award to that organisation, to publicise the withdrawal, and present the award to another applicant.
  12. The shortlisting of an application does not include any complimentary places at the Sheffield Business Awards. By entering and therefore potentially being shortlisted for any category your organisation is committing to purchasing at least 1 ticket to the Sheffield Business Awards.
  13. Winning entries may be publicised. Applicants are responsible for making appropriate arrangements to protect any intellectual property associated with their application.

Showcasing Your Achievement Terms and Conditions

  1. All shortlisted companies will be provided with an email footer that can be used by their company.
  2. All winners will be provided with an email footer that can be used by their company.
  3. Entry does not grant an organisation rights to use the Awards’ name, logo or images without the express written approval of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

Judging Terms and Conditions

  1. Each category will be judged by an independent panel of judges. The judges reserve the right to alter award categories in the light of entries received. They reserve the right to cancel an awards category.
  2. No documentation in addition to the official online application form can be submitted.
  3. The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce reserve the right to withdraw an award from any applicant supplying false information within their entry. Judges reserve the right to audit any information supplied. Judges will choose a shortlist of up to 6 companies which will include one winner. Some awards will have a shortlist or 3, 4, or 5.
  4. All shortlisted companies will be notified by email from the Sheffield Business Awards organisers.
  5. All unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by the Sheffield Business Awards organisers, by email.
  6. Judges may contact the person submitting the application by telephone to verify any detail. This in no way implies that your organisation has been shortlisted.
  7. All companies who are shortlisted may be invited for an interview and/or judges may organise a site visit to shortlisted work premise. This in no way implies that your organisation is a winner.
  8. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into either before or after the awards ceremony.
  9. Award winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner on Thursday 17th October 2024.
  10. The Sheffield Business Awards organisers, nor employees of any party involved in organising or promoting the event, have any influence on the judges’ decisions.

Attendance at the Event Terms and Conditions

  1. All shortlisted organisations are expected to purchase at least one ticket to attend the event as detailed in the Terms and Conditions.
  2. Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to individuals or organisations to the awards ceremony or to remove any persons deemed to be acting inappropriately.
  3. By registering and completing an entry for the Awards you agree to these terms and conditions.
